McKinney Behavioral Health does not provide continuous crisis monitoring or 24-hour emergency response.

3. No Provider-Patient Relationship Through Website Use

A provider-patient relationship is established only after:
McKinney Behavioral Health has reviewed the prospective patient’s information;

An appointment or service has been formally accepted;

Clinical eligibility, treatment recommendations, frequency of care, and continuation of services are determined individually through professional assessment.
6. Telehealth Services

The Practice may require an in-person evaluation, physical examination, laboratory testing, vital signs, coordination with another healthcare professional, or a higher level of care before prescribing or continuing treatment.
Telehealth involves potential limitations and risks, including technology failure, interruptions, reduced access to certain clinical observations, and privacy risks associated with electronic communications. Additional telehealth terms will be addressed in a separate informed consent.
7. Communications
Submitting a website form, email, portal message, or other electronic communication does not guarantee an immediate response.

Response times may vary based on business hours, clinician availability, holidays, weekends, illness, and the nature of the request.

McKinney Behavioral Health may redirect a communication to a more appropriate platform, require an appointment, or decline to address complex clinical matters through messaging.
8. Scheduling and Appointment Requests
Appointment requests submitted through the website are not confirmed until the Practice provides an express confirmation.
The availability displayed by a third-party scheduler may change and does not guarantee that an appointment has been reserved.
Appointments and clinical services are subject to the Practice’s separate:
Financial policy;
Prepayment requirements;
Cancellation policy;
Rescheduling policy;
No-show policy;
Card-on-file requirements; and
Patient service agreement.
When there is a conflict between these website Terms and a signed patient agreement, informed consent, or financial policy, the signed clinical document will govern the patient’s clinical relationship with the Practice.
9. Fees and Payments
Fees displayed on the website are subject to change. The price applicable to a service will be the price confirmed by the Practice at the time the service is scheduled or purchased.
Unless the Practice expressly states otherwise:
Clinical packages do not include outside laboratory charges, pharmacy charges, medication costs, imaging, hospital care, services from outside clinicians, or other third-party expenses;
Payment does not guarantee a particular clinical outcome;
Purchasing or requesting a service does not require the clinician to prescribe a particular medication or treatment; and
Clinical decisions remain subject to professional judgment, safety considerations, legal requirements, and standards of care.
Refunds, credits, unused services, package expiration, cancellations, and rescheduling are governed by the applicable financial policy or service agreement.
10. Insurance and Reimbursement
Unless otherwise expressly stated, services may be offered on a private-pay or self-pay basis.
McKinney Behavioral Health does not guarantee that an insurer, employer, health plan, flexible spending account, health savings account, or other third party will reimburse any fee.
Patients are responsible for understanding their own insurance benefits and reimbursement requirements. Any receipt, superbill, diagnostic code, or documentation provided by the Practice does not guarantee reimbursement.
11. User Responsibilities
